Thanks for your interest in the 500hr Program with Yoga Medicine - we would love to have you as part of the YM 500HR Team! The beauty of our 500HR program is that you get to design it however you would like - so you get to choose which trainings you want to take AND when you want to take them. There's no deadline by which you need to complete your 500HR with Yoga Medicine.

The requirements to complete the 500HR certification include:

200HR yoga teacher training certificate from a Yoga Alliance certified school*
Approved 500HR Application
290 hours of Trainings (both in-person & online) with Yoga Medicine (anything over 290hrs will be applied to your 1000HR certification or continued education)
10 hours case study homework
= 500 hours total

*If your 200HR isn’t from Yoga Medicine, then it will be considered a Yoga Alliance 300HR certificate you get on top of your current 200HR. If your 200HR is from Yoga Medicine, then it will be considered a Yoga Alliance 500HR certificate. Both will be considered Yoga Medicine 500HR certified on our site and will be eligible to register as a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist.

You can either complete the training 100% online or in a hybrid format which can include in-person trainings as well - completely up to you and what works best for your schedule and educational preferences.

The total cost of your 500HR online yoga teacher training will vary upon the modules and/or immersions you choose to take. So it’s hard to ballpark the 500hr program since it’s dependent on the type of trainings you choose, locations, room types; but for a rough estimate I’d guess between $6000-$9000 (give or take) if most of your trainings are done online. If you choose to do in-person trainings, I would expect to pay a little more for those tuitions. You can see what each of our trainings cost and locations when viewing them online here. Typically our online modules cost $1390 and our immersions range from $300-$625 at the moment. In-Person trainings range between $800-$1690 for urban style and $2000-$3000 for retreat style. And you need to complete 290hrs in trainings/courses. Hope that helps give you an idea of what you'll spend.

We are also offering a bundle price option for our "core curriculum" only (Hip Module, Spine Module, Shoulder Module, TCM Module, MFR Module and Sequencing Immersion), in which you will save $700 total if purchasing the bundle price - total price is $5950. Please note that these trainings cannot be swapped for any others. Together, completing these trainings will get you 270hrs towards your 500HR program, so you will need to complete 20hrs more to reach the 290hr requirement then complete your case studies to complete the 500HR.

Payment plans for all trainings are available at checkout to US customers via Affirm. If you are an international customer, we can set up a payment plan for you via PayPal where you choose the number of payments and when you want to pay them.
